May 26, 2009- American Medical Response entered into contract with HLHS to provide medical transportation via non-medical transportation Ambulette, Paratransit and wheelchair services to AMR customers. AMR is the nation’s leading medical transportation company, serving more communities and customers than any other private ambulance service provider in the nation.
August 1, 2009- Access2Care entered into contract with HLHS to provide Paralift, and medical car (sedan / van ) service for several insurance companies that they service. Access2Care is an industry leading managed transportation services program designed for health plans, heath care facilities and government entities. Access2Care offers high-quality customized non-emergency transportation programs at the lowest possible cost.
November, 2010- STOPS, Inc. entered into contract with HLHS to provide wheelchair and ambulatory transportation services to their workmen’s compensation clients. STOPS specializes in cost containment for the insurance industry through their pricing philosophy and full service approach, which allows their clients a cost benefit on all products and services which include transportation, translation, referral, etc.
February 2011- PROCARE, Inc. entered into contract with HLHS to provide non-emergency transportation to their workmen's compensation clients. PROCARE, Inc prides itself in providing comprehensive coordination of medical transportation and language services, specializing in workers' compensation.
August 2012- LifeStar Response, Inc. entered into a contract with HLHS to provide both ambulatory and wheelchair transportation support services as a subcontractor in support of the Howard County Health department. LifeStar operates and directly provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance and wheelchair-van transportation services to public and private sector healthcare programs, healthcare facilities, health management organizations and associations. The company provides its services primarily under contractual arrangements with institutional payors with varying degrees of exclusivity. AcccessOnTIme is one of 3 divisions of LifeStar Response and provides services that are focused on workers’ compensation to private and public sector workers’ compensation insurance companies, larger self-insuring organizations, case management companies, third party administrators and larger service providers. The company has established and continues to build and manage a nationwide network of third-party providers of transportation and language services to meet the healthcare treatment and rehabilitation needs associated with workers’ compensation.
August 2018- added to pre-existing contract to provide whelchair transport service in Annapolis and Glen Burnie, Hart to Heart Transportation expanded contract to provide same type ambulatory and wheelchair services for Howard County Health Department as described above with Lifestar Response, Inc.
